HEAT

Hazelwood East's staff have been in the development of this program for the last several years in order to better meet the needs of our students and their parents.  The intent of this program is to ensure that every parent and student has a personal connection with a certified staff member in the building to guide, assist and help to focus the students academic course selections and develop their personal skills.  

The Academic Mentoring team has worked very hard to ensure that this will be a meaningful program for the students, staff and parents of the Hazelwood East community.  The development and refinement of this program will be on going.  The curriculum for the class is a living document that will constantly be changed to meet the needs within the building. 

This group  is currently in development of the next phase of the program where our parents, advisors and students will plan meetings to discuss their post secondary future.  During these meetings the advisor, parents and students will be developing and modifying their 6 year plan to ensure that they are fully preparing themselves for life after graduation.
