Students from Hazelwood East High School and Hazelwood Southeast Middle School will perform May 6-8 at the Worlds of Fun Festival of Music in Kansas City.

Steve Stenzhorn, director of bands for Hazelwood East High School, said the festival provides a great learning experience for the students.

"Participation in the Worlds of Fun 'Festival of Music' gives our young musicians an educational learning experience, in which participants learn methods that improve their musical ability," he said. "Adjudicators not only evaluate performances, but make positive suggestions that directors and ensemble members may use to improve their musicianship."
